You will work with small parts, follow detailed work instructions, and help ensure that high-quality products move smoothly through various stages of manufacturing. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy mechanically challenging tasks, can concentrate on complex, repetitive work, and are eager to learn new skills in fiber optics and electronic assemblies.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble connector components by putting together plastic housings, terminals, pins, and locking elements according to standard operating procedures.

  • Build cable assemblies by attaching connectors to cables, crimping terminals, inserting wires into connectors, and testing electrical continuity.

  • Assemble wire harnesses by bundling multiple wires into organized harnesses used in vehicles, appliances, industrial machines, and electronic equipment.

  • Perform fiber-optic assembly by preparing and connecting fiber-optic cables used in telecommunications and data centers.

  • Clean and inspect products to ensure they are ready for the final stage of processing and meet quality standards.

  • Prepare products, in coordination with team members, for various stages of processing in production.

  • Maintain a clean, organized work area to support production start-up and ensure consistent product quality.

  • Log products in and out as they move through your area, accurately documenting quality concerns and any product that does not meet customer criteria.

  • Crimp terminals onto wires using appropriate tools and techniques.

  • Insert terminals into connector housings, ensuring secure and accurate placement.

  • Build cable assemblies and wire harnesses using hand tools and assembly equipment.

  • Operate assembly equipment and test products to verify proper function and quality.

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) when assembling fiber optics and related components.

  • Use a microscope to inspect product surfaces and identify defects or irregularities.

  • Support higher-level assembly tasks as you develop skills, including opportunities to learn soldering for printed circuit board assemblies and fine electronic connectors.

  • Work safely and efficiently in manufacturing, industrial, lab, or similar environments while meeting production and quality targets.

Essential Skills
  • Ability to perform assembly work using hand tools and basic production equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail when working with small components and complex assemblies.

  • Comfort working in mechanically challenging roles that require focus and manual dexterity.

  • Capability to follow detailed instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality guidelines.

  • Willingness to log and document product movement, quality concerns, and nonconforming items accurately.

  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area to support consistent product quality.

  • Comfort working in a production, cleanroom, or controlled environment setting.

  • Readiness to learn soldering, crimping, and higher-level assembly techniques as needed.

  • Ability to inspect products visually and under a microscope to identify defects.

  • Reliability and consistency in meeting production goals and quality standards.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior assembly experience in manufacturing, industrial, military, or laboratory environments.

  • Experience working on printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies, fine electronic connectors, or prototype and low-volume production.

  • Exposure to fiber-optic or specialty product assembly.

  • Familiarity with soldering processes, even at a basic or introductory level.

  • Experience operating assembly equipment and testing products for electrical continuity.

  • Experience in general labor, production, or cleanroom operations.

Why Work Here?

You will join a collaborative team in a modern, well-organized facility where safety, quality, and continuous learning are highly valued. The organization offers opportunities to develop new technical skills, including advanced assembly and soldering, while working with cutting-edge fiber-optic and electronic technologies. You can grow your career in a supportive environment that emphasizes training, precision, and long-term development.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a clean, well-lit, temperature-controlled production area designed for precision assembly. Team members follow standard operating procedures to assemble fiber optics, cable assemblies, and wire harnesses using hand tools, assembly equipment, and microscopes for detailed inspection. The environment is structured and process-driven, with an emphasis on cleanliness, organization, and adherence to quality standards throughout the production workflow.
