Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in various service lines, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to clinical standards.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams with instrument handling and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Document patient information, procedures, and outcomes accurately in the medical documentation system.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and licensing requirements.
- Float between main OR, endoscopy, and outpatient surgery units as needed.
- Support high-quality patient experiences by managing equipment and maintaining a safe perioperative environment.
- Hold a valid RN license with at least one year of circulating experience in an operating room setting.
- Demonstrate proficiency with surgical equipment such as Stryker, Steris, Olympus, Zimmer, and Mizuho.
- Possess advanced skills in robotic procedures, specifically Davinci robotic system.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Experienced in procedures including ortho, neuro, spine, urology, general surgery, GYN, bariatrics, podiatry, and endoscopy.
