Position Overview

This is a full-time travel position requiring up to 10–12 days on the road at a time
. The Home Service Construction Warranty Technician performs warranty and service work on KIT homes across Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. The ideal candidate has a background in construction or remodeling, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while representing KIT professionally in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer home sites to complete warranty and service repairs.
  • Perform skilled construction work including:
    • Trim and finish carpentry, cabinetry, flooring (laminate, vinyl, tile)
    • Drywall, tape, texture, painting, siding, roofing
    • Window and door repairs, basic plumbing and electrical tasks
  • Communicate clearly with homeowners and internal departments.
  • Document service work, materials, and customer interactions.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good condition.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of construction or remodeling experience.
  • Proficient in carpentry, drywall, painting, and basic electrical/plumbing.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively (10–12 days at a time).
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
  • Must pass background check and drug test.
  • Dependable attendance; must be able to work occasional Saturdays or overtime as needed.

Preferred:

  • Experience with manufactured housing or warranty work.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
