Overview

Welcome to the team! We are looking for a motivated Diesel Mechanic - Agricultural to join our team and provide expertise in servicing agricultural machinery. The successful candidate will need to have extensive knowledge and experience in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and equipment used in the agricultural industry. If you have a passion for the agricultural industry and a commitment to ensuring the highest quality of maintenance and repair work, then this could be the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and diagnose diesel engine systems, including fuel, electrical, cooling, powertrain, and hydraulic systems
  • Repair, replace, or rebuild diesel engines, fuel systems, and other components
  • Perform preventive maintenance, such as changing oil, filters, and belts
  • Repair and replace worn, defective, or broken parts on agricultural machinery
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose engine, fuel, and electrical systems
  • Perform welding and fabrication to modify or improve agricultural equipment
  • Perform complex repairs and adjustments on agricultural machinery
  • Adjust, repair, or replace farm equipment parts, such as transmissions, brakes, and steering systems
  • Operate and test agricultural machinery to verify proper functioning
  • Complete documentation for all repairs and maintenance performed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2-3 years of experience working as a Diesel Mechanic
  • Knowledge of current agricultural diesel technology
  • Knowledge of agricultural equipment maintenance, repair and diagnosis
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of diesel engines
  • Ability to use power tools, hand tools, diagnostic tools and other equipment necessary to perform repairs
  • Knowledge of safety principles and practices
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
