About the Role

American Rooter & Drain is looking for an experienced HVAC Install Lead to oversee residential and commercial HVAC installations. You'll lead a team of installation technicians, keep projects on track and up to code, and work hand-in-hand with our plumbing team to deliver a great experience for every customer.

What You'll Do
  • Supervise and manage HVAC system installations from start to finish, keeping safety and quality front and center.
  • Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of installation technicians including 2 to 3 subordinate supervisors and 5 to 10 additional team members reporting to you.
  • Keep customers informed on progress and address concerns on the spot.
  • Provide hands‑on technical support and troubleshooting to your crew.
  • Partner with the plumbing team to make sure HVAC systems integrate cleanly with other building systems.
  • Run quality control checks to confirm installations meet code and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate work orders, invoices, and job documentation.
  • Train and develop technicians to grow their skills over time.
What You'll Need

  • EPA 608 Certification (required) and OSHA 30 Certification (required); NATE Certification is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable writing reports and talking through technical issues with customers, crews, and managers alike.
  • Solid math skills (percentages, proportions, area/volume calculations) and sound judgment for solving problems on the fly.
Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands‑on field role. Expect extended periods of standing and walking, frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., and regular climbing, kneeling, or working in tight spaces like attics and mechanical rooms. You'll be working around mechanical equipment, at heights, and occasionally in extreme temperatures or around refrigerants.

Our Values

We're looking for someone who maintains a good attitude, takes ownership of problems before escalating them, and represents the company well, even in tough situations. Honesty, mutual respect, and taking pride in a clean, well‑run worksite matter here.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
