Job Description Summary
We are seeking a Real-Time Embedded Software Developer and Verification Engineer to join our Stores Management System (SMS) and Computing Platform Development Team in support of an undisclosed program. In this hybrid role, you will contribute across the full software development lifecycle (V-model), from requirements definition and architecture through implementation, integration, verification, and validation.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience developing real-time embedded software for safety- or mission-critical applications, with strong skills in C, C++, and/or Ada, as well as experience working with bare-metal drivers, RTOS environments, and hardware/software integration. This role includes development for the AMD/Xilinx Ultra Scale+ MPSoC and support for software used in Stores Management Computer (SMC) and Station Carriage Control Unit applications.

Grand Rapids, MI or Clearwater, FL
This position, which offers a blend of onsite and hybrid work arrangements, is based in Grand Rapids or Clearwater, FL and necessitates a presence in the office for 2-3 days each week. An extensive corporate relocation package is also available for eligible candidates.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
Design, develop, integrate, and verifyreal-time embedded software across the fullV-model software lifecycle
Support all lifecycle phases including:
Contribute to the development of Stores Management Compute rand Station Carriage Control Unitsoftware within the SMS and Computing Platform team
Develop embedded software usingC, C++, and/or Ada
Implement software solutions usingbare-metal driversandreal-time operating systems (RTOS)
Develop software targeting theAMD/Xilinx Ultra Scale+ MPSoC
Integrate software supportingMIL-STD-1553data bus communications
Develop and execute software verification activities usingunit test frameworks,Robot Framework,LDRA,Vector CAST, and/or custom embedded test applications
Apply applicablesoftware safety, certification, and airworthiness standards, includingDO-178,MIL-HDBK-516C, and/orJSSSEH
Support proposal and capture efforts through technical inputs, estimates, and development approach documentation
Collaborate closely withcross-functional engineering teamsto deliver high-quality software solutions for an undisclosed program
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
4 to 6 yearsof experience developing real-time embedded software
Proficiency inC, C++, and/or Ada
Experience executing work across thefull software development lifecycle (V-model), from requirements through verification
Experience working withbare-metal driversandRTOS-based systems
Experience with software verification methods, tools, and test execution
This position requires U.S. citizenship status.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing
Stores Management System (SMS) software,Stores Management Computers, or Station Carriage Control UnitsExperience with MIL-STD-1553communications integration
Experience developing software forAMD/Xilinx Ultra Scale+ MPSoC
Experience with verification tools such as Robot Framework, LDRA, Vector CAST, or equivalent unit/integration test frameworks
Experience developing embedded test applications for software verification

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in across-functional, collaborative engineering environment
