Position: Class A Fuel Tanker Driver (Night Shift)

Compensation & Shift
  • Drivers are paid between $34-36 per hour depending on scheduled shift and location
  • Overtime pay starting at 40 hours worked per week
  • Drivers are eligible for monthly and annual bonuses
  • $3,500 Sign On Bonus (First half paid out at 90 days; second half at 180 days of active employment)
  • Availability to work variable shifts as dictated by business needs. Typical shift is Sunday-Thursday night shift, start 3:00PM (FRI/SAT OFF)
Job Functions
  • Always drive defensively and follow all applicable laws and regulations to maintain Gemini’s reputation as one of the safest tank carriers.
  • Drive company trucks to load and deliver fuel and commodities to Love’s retail and third‑party customers (operation 24/7/365).
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, local and company rules and regulations for safe operation of hazardous cargo tank vehicles.
  • Follow proper loading and unloading methods for various cargoes.
  • Maintain contact with logistics as needed and required.
  • Complete driver electronic logs and all necessary documentation as required by company.
  • Follow company guidelines regarding professional conduct with customers, employees, vendors and the public.
Document Requirements
  • Commercial Driver’s License and endorsements (Haz Mat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples) per state law.
  • Physically qualified and obtain Medical Examiner’s Certificate per 49 CFR 391.43‑49.
Experience and Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of verifiable over‑the‑road driving experience or certification from an accredited truck‑driving academy.
  • Knowledge of all applicable DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Background Checks

All offers of employment may be conditioned on receipt of a background check report and/or drug screen acceptable to Love’s.

Skills and Physical Demands
  • Availability to work variable shifts as dictated by business needs.
  • Ability to drive up to 11 hours and work total 14 hours, while transporting hazardous materials and sitting for extended periods.
  • Minimum age 21 and meet 49 CFR 391.11(b)(1) qualifications.
  • Ability to read and speak English per 49 CFR 391.11(b)(2).
  • Ability to walk, bend, reach, push, stoop, squat, and climb, as necessary for vehicle inspections under 49 CFR 396.11‑15.
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment (e.g., hooking/dropping, ladder access) up to 75 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Normal hearing, vision, and smell.
