Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Driver
Starting Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour + bonuses and differentials.
Schedule: Full-time shifts may begin at any time during the day. Monday – Friday. This will include a weekend day. Overtime may be required based on business needs and operational demands.

About Capitol: Capitol Distributing is the largest convenience wholesale distributor in Idaho. Founded in 1983, Capitol delivers to retailers across the Western United States from its 300,000 square foot distribution center in Caldwell, Idaho.
Duties/Responsibilities- Operate standing forklifts throughout the warehouse which can include receiving, storage, supply and loading areas.
- Obtain distribution of orders and then identifies, verifies, and transports requested materials, equipment, or pallets accordingly.
- Identify and transport requested materials to and from various locations including tucks, storage bays, and staging areas.
- Apply understanding of forklift operations, safety, and loading capacities.
- Communicate with supervisor and floors lead on a regular basis to meet business objectives.
- Ensure accuracy of product inventory and storage through placing items in assigned locations.
- May be asked to use scanning devices to log and stock products daily.
- Operators may fill other positions as needed.
- 1+ year of forklift experience.
- Standing forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly.
- Ability to attend and pass onsite forklift driving training as requested.
- Must be able to work other jobs within the warehouse as needed.
- Must be able to work occasional overtime as needed.
Forklift drivers at Capitol will work in regular or freezer temperatures. Individuals working in freezer conditions will be provided with adequate cold gear and receive additional hourly differentials. Capitol uses standing forklifts to move pallets of materials in narrow & crowded areas. This role will require general physical movement such as frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching, lifting 70+Lbs, and overhead lifting.
This position repetitively uses both hands by grasping products and loading the product on the forklift. The employees will frequently bend, twist, stoop, and frequently get on and off the lift. The individual will also be expected to follow and understand basic instructions/policies.
