Job Description
SummaryThe CDL Driver / Material Handler will be involved in operating a commercial vehicle to transport materials, equipment, and goods between our two locations (Caldwell, Nampa, ), while also handling warehouse duties such as loading, unloading, and organizing materials. The ideal candidate will have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety.
Accountabilities- Safely operate commercial vehicles (such as flatbed trucks, box trucks, or other CDL-required vehicles) to transport materials and goods to designated locations.
- Load, unload, and organize materials in the warehouse, ensuring that items are stored properly and safely.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure safety and proper functioning of all equipment.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols while driving and during warehouse operations.
- Maintain accurate records, including logs, delivery schedules, and inventory reports.
- Assist with inventory management, ensuring all materials are properly tracked and stored in the warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet delivery deadlines and project requirements.
- Assist with the preparation and organization of materials for shipment or delivery.
- Ensure all materials are securely loaded and unloaded, using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a material handler and/or delivery driver, preferably in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs or more).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
