Sanitation Associate

Our client, a leading food distribution company, is seeking a dependable Sanitation Associate to support warehouse cleanliness, safety, and organization at their Calera, AL facility. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe working environment and offers potential for transition into a full-time permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness throughout designated warehouse areas
• Travel through assigned warehouse sections to collect and remove debris, including wood pieces, shrink wrap, label backings, and other waste materials
• Move pallets as needed to clean underlying areas
• Assist with material movement as required
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
• Strong attention to safety and cleanliness
• Dependable attendance record

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior warehouse or sanitation experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic understanding of warehouse safety protocols

About the Role:

Contract Length:
Approximately 4-5 months (712 total hours)

Schedule:

Initial training Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; following training, standard shift is 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM

8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
