Job Overview

Assistant Physician (PA) providing direct patient care in a humanitarian healthcare setting. This full‑time role includes clinical duties, emergency care, and surgical assistance in accordance with SOPs. The position supports refugee and migrant populations worldwide.

Base pay $61.50 per hour plus $4.57 per hour fringe. Housing and weekly stipend provided for travelers.

Full‑time, 36–48 hour work week. Day and night shifts available.

• Any State license accepted. Must hold a current license issued by a State medical board for PAs. A temporary license is not accepted. Must meet continuing education requirements for the licensed State(s).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Primary Care, Family Practice, or Emergency Medicine setting.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree from a PA training program certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC‑PA); or graduation from a PA program certified by ARC‑PA and a bachelor’s degree in a health‑care occupation or health‑related science; or graduation from an ARC‑PA program and a period of progressively responsible health‑care experience such as an independent duty medical corpsman, licensed practical nurse, medical technologist, or medical technician.
  
  Education must be accredited by an institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Comfortable providing care for all age groups 0–99.
• Must have or obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Must not have been convicted of, or pled guilty to, or pled nolo contendere to, or received probation before judgment for any crime other than a minor traffic violation whose record has not been expunged.
• Tier 4 Security Clearance required to start.

• Provide direct care to patients.
• Perform medical histories and complete necessary paperwork.
• Evaluate and provide care according to SOP, with follow‑up on sick call or walk‑ins.
• Provide emergency and first aid treatment within scope of work until transfer to a local healthcare system.
• Perform limited, minor surgical procedures not requiring extensive care, labs, or radiographic studies (e.g., simple suturing of uncomplicated lacerations, incision and drainage of simple cysts).
• Review or reevaluate daily or as necessary those cases requiring ongoing medical or pharmaceutical attention.
• Carry out orders authorized by the physician supervisor.
