PURPOSE

Ensures all areas of the center are cleaned and presentable to donors, employees, and auditors.

Must understand customer service and keep assigned areas, such as offices, reception, donor floor, restrooms, etc. in clean and orderly condition.

General Requirements – Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures, Current Good Manufacturing Practices, and Company Policies. Ensure donor suitability, product integrity, and continued good health of donors through the center’s compliance with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, state regulations, the Standard Operating Procedure Manual guidelines of the Company, and any other applicable regulatory standards.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Performs cleaning of public areas, donor beds, and ancillary areas, to ensure a clean, safe and attractive environment forstaff, donors,and visitors.
Cleansanddisinfectsassignedareasusingdepartmentcleaningprocedures.
Uses cleaning chemicals properly.
Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious/biohazard waste and trash throughout the facilityandmaintainscleanlinessofthebiohazardouswasteroom.
Regularly maintains and cleans work and storage areas (including storage areas for critical supplies) following established policyandprocedurestoensure safety.
Usessuppliesappropriatelyandeffectively.
Restocks supplies inalldonorareas.
Assists with unstocking supplies, distribute deliveries, and breakdown cardboard throughout the facility.
Communicatesissuestocentermanagement,and/orothernecessaryparties.
Adheretoall company policies, procedures, and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and as otherwise postedor communicated.
Anyotherdutiesasassigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Highschooldiplomaorequivalent(Mustbeable toshow proof)
Work successfully with fellow employees & others.
Understand and follow instructions, both verbal and written.
Explain how to complete a task, understand instructions for the task using basic communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Performing the responsibilities of the job requires the ability to use hands and fingers to handle and feel objects,tools, or controls;reachwithhandsandarms.

Frequentlyrequiredtostand,walk,climbandbalance;andstoop,kneel, or crouch. It May required reaching above shoulders. Required to stand for extended periods of time (4-6 hour intervals).Ability to lift, tug, and pullupto

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Thisroleroutinelyusesstandardcleaningequipmentand supplies. May be exposed to blood borne pathogens and other conditions common to a donor center.

Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, lab coat, and gloves.
