Job Description

The Constituency office of Corey Hogan M.P. for Calgary Confederation is seeking a highly motivated and organized Constituency Assistant to work as part of a team to provide exceptional service to constituents and support the daily operations of the office. This position provides direct support to constituents by managing correspondence, community outreach, and administrative functions within the constituency office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Constituent Services
    :
    Respond to community inquiries via phone, email, and in person; manage casework; liaise with government agencies to resolve issues.
  • Administrative Support
    :
    Maintain confidential records, manage correspondence, schedule meetings, and support daily office operations.
  • Community Engagement
    :
    Assist with event planning, outreach activities, and local meetings to strengthen community relationships.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in public administration, communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in a client service environment, such as retail, office administration or hospitality.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting community engagement activities.
  • Clear and concise writing in writing emails, correspondence and briefing notes.
  • Diplomatic verbal communication skills with a wide range of people, using a professional and calm demeanor.
  • Outgoing and comfortable engaging with stakeholders in the office and at events.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and handle confidential matters.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database software.
  • Proficiency with CANVA or other design software highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of local community organizations and issues an asset.
Additional Information

The typical work week is Monday – Friday, with some flexibility in workday hours. There is a requirement for some evening and weekend work to accommodate constituents, events and when the MP is in the riding. Employees receive:
