This temporary Project & Data Clerk role is a unique opportunity to support construction and utility projects while building expertise in project management, data administration, and operational coordination. The successful candidate will manage project documentation, construction invoicing, and data platforms, while supporting a small administrative and operations team. This role offers hands-on exposure to all stages of project delivery and the potential for long-term growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key job functions are:

  • Prepare and manage construction packages, including land title searches, utility rights-of-way (URWs), corporate searches, contracts, and crossing/proximity agreements.
  • Maintain and update project status reports, construction documentation, and work orders for primary and secondary projects.
  • Prepare and follow up on customer construction invoices and coordinate communications as required.
  • Support project implementation through detailed record-keeping and ongoing maintenance.
  • Submit grant funding requests and applications accurately and on time.
  • Generate internal invoicing as required and provide construction reporting to management.
  • Manage project data through digital platforms, including data entry, tracking, and reporting.
  • Provide occasional coverage at the reception desk and support other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Participate in emergency management activities and training as required.
  • Education:

  • Post-secondary education is preferred, ideally in administration, business, or a related field.
  • Project Management (PMP) in progress is an asset.
  • Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience:

  • -years previous experience in administration, project coordination, or data management is required.
  • Experience in construction, energy, or utility industries is an advantage but not required; candidates with strong project management skills are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience collaborating with field operations teams is preferred.
  • Skills:

  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and software platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Forward-thinking with the ability to retain and apply complex concepts.
  • Collaborative team player who can adapt to changing priorities.
  • Comfortable with digital platforms and data management software.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities independently while providing support to a small team
