Job Title:

Library Technician Level II

Location:

Calgary, AB (Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite)

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Library Technician Level II to support Library Services. The successful candidate will report to the Group Leader of Information Services and must hold an active Reliability Security Clearance (Government of Canada) at the time of bid closing.

Key Responsibilities

Create complete bibliographic records from scratch

Catalog and classify resources using established standards and electronic Integrated Library Systems (ILS)

Assign subject descriptors and classification notations

Maintain physical and digital library collections

Conduct reference interviews and assist users with automated systems

Process regulatory documents and hearing indices

Maintain library statistics and prepare ad hoc reports

Provide administrative and technical support to the Library group

Act as the first point of contact for inquiries

Requirements
  • Active Reliability Security Clearance (Government of Canada)

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to self-correct

  • Excellent multi-tasking skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written)

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Experience with
    Integrated Library Systems (ILS)

  • Professional client-facing demeanor

  • Work Schedule & Conditions
    • Monday – Friday (7.5 hours per day)

    • Hybrid:
      Monday–Thursday onsite, Friday remote

    • Ability to lift up to 15 kg (33 lbs)

    • Comfortable with frequent bending, kneeling, standing

    • Paid parking available (cost not covered by client)
