How you’ll make a difference

Our Case Assistants play a critical support role by managing ongoing administrative and monitoring activities across a large volume of claims. They gather quality information from workers, employers and health care providers via telephone or written correspondence, make medical‑related requests and provide timely customer service.

They also assist Claim Owners in providing proactive services to clients resulting in their safe and early return to work.

Your responsibilities

Oversee claims which have returned to modified work duties.

Communicate with stakeholders to ensure plans remain on track.

Assist case management and adjudication teams by gathering information and issuing benefit payments.

Calculate and set up payments for certain benefit types.

Your experience and skills

High school diploma supplemented with university or college education, or two years related experience, is required.

Considerable experience in a claim environment, insurance, rehabilitation or other related fields is desirable.

Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel.

Experience in interpreting and applying policy and/or legislation, administrative processes and customer contact.

Ability to manage a demanding workload and work in a fast‑paced environment.

Demonstrated team skills and decision‑making ability.

Reliability and time management are integral to success in this position.

Ability to build internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Training
Anticipated to start September 2026. Successful candidates must be available to attend three to four weeks of training at the time of hire. Training is delivered in a hybrid model (in‑person and at primary home residence). Candidates must work in‑office as scheduled. Skills assessments will be administered as part of the selection process.

Salary
$60,455.00 - $66,240.00 per annum (Salary Grade
7)

Qualifications and Conditions
Successful candidates must reside in Alberta and be able to work in person from the Calgary office as required. This position is temporary for up to 6 months with the possibility of extension or permanency. Final candidates are required to undergo a security clearance as a condition of employment.
