Position: Medical Office Assistant )

Overview

This role is ideal for candidates seeking long‑term career growth and job stability in a supportive medical setting. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic medical records, strong organizational skills, and a friendly demeanor to assist patients and staff effectively.

Prior experience with medical office environments, including front desk responsibilities, is not required, but valued.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment
  • Manage multi‑line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages accurately
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records using systems such as Epic and Medicalc
  • Assist with check‑in and check‑out procedures for patients
  • Prepare patient charts and documentation for provider review
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure timely patient flow and appointment scheduling
  • Handle administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and managing office supplies
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and office policies
Skills
  • Strong computer and typing skills, including proficiency with MS Word
  • Excellent multitasking, communication, organizational, and critical‑thinking abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with office equipment and basic administrative procedures
  • Professional and courteous communication with patients, medical offices, hospitals, and surgical facilities
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and eager to learn
Assets
  • Medical Office Assistant (MOA) certification
  • Reception or administrative assistant experience
  • Medical transcription experience
  • Experience with medical software
