Senior Derivatives Analyst - Contract
Our Calgary client is seeking a Senior Derivatives Analyst for a 4‑month contract. This role will work with internal and external teams to develop processes, improve efficiencies, and provide strategic recommendations. The analyst will lead business model development, support application and project implementations, train team members, and contribute to policy and procedure updates.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:Collaborate with internal/external teams to develop processes, recommend improvements, and support new business models.Provide operational support, maintenance, and training on new workflows and systems.Analyze derivative contracts for risk, profitability, legal alignment, and process impact.Review and interpret ISDA documentation; ensure trades conform to negotiated terms.Confirm and affirm trades with dealers to ensure economic and legal accuracy.Identify system defects, process gaps, and efficiency opportunities; implement solutions with stakeholders.Serve as SME on OTC and cleared derivatives to advise on operational processes and controls.Manage and validate security master data; build and enhance reporting and dashboards in Aladdin.Develop operational monitors, compliance flags, and process controls across Aladdin and connected platforms (Osttra, Trade Serv, Tri Resolve).Liaise with front office and legal teams to ensure informed decisions, mitigate business risk, and maintain timely, accurate derivatives verification.Your strengths include:Experience in Derivatives Operations or a similar role.Proficiency with industry platforms such as Markit Wire, Trade Manager, Tri Resolve, and Calypso.Advanced understanding of over the counter and cleared derivatives, including life cycle events and cashflow processingTrack record of identifying and resolving trade or cashflow discrepancies efficiently and accurately
