THE ROLE
Are you the kind of person who knows how to do their homework but can win over a room when it’s time to shine?
We’re looking for an organized and outgoing Business Development Manager to join the Alt Hotel Calgary East Village, and to take charge of business travel sales development. With strong analytical abilities and sales skills, this resourceful and personable individual will develop creative strategies and deploy sales tactics, lead prospecting and negotiations, and participate in a range of efforts tied to the organization’s success.
WHAT YOU’D DO
Draft and negotiate proposals for business travelManage account performance and develop accounts with potentialCanvass through prospecting, calls for tender, events, and sales blitzesAnalyze reports, trends, and current knowledgeDevelop tactics that maximize occupancy and revenue for both guest rooms as well as event spacesCollect information on the market and the competitionEvaluate and implement long-term strategies and objectivesCollaborate as part of our national Business Development teamRepresent Germain Hôtels at trade fairs and during sales campaignsWHAT WE HOPE YOU CAN BRING
Solid sales skills and thorough knowledge of the market3-5 years in hotel management, or similar experienceCollege diploma or university degree an assetOrganization and time management skills, attention to detailAutonomy and ability to self-directCreativity, adaptability, and eagerness to innovateFriendly personality and great communication skillsExcellent English, written and spokenFrench is an assetWHAT WE OFFER
