Analyst of Resource Planning

Drive strategic insights and enhance operations as the Analyst of Resource Planning at CPKC in Calgary or Kansas City. Your expertise will help align resources with network capacity and capabilities.

This full-time Analyst role focuses on developing forecasting models and supporting decision-making processes. You will prepare annual resource planning forecasts and conduct scenario analyses while ensuring data quality and alignment with business performance. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, your role will influence important growth strategies and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate monthly and multi-year forecasts for resources

• Ensure data accuracy and operational alignment

• Identify trends and enhance decision-making support

• Improve planning models and recommend enhancements

• Conduct ad hoc analyses to assess capacity impacts

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, or similar

• 1-3 years of experience; rail or transportation preferred

• Understanding of demand and supply fundamentals

• Strong Excel skills; SQL knowledge is an asset

• Excellent analytical and communication skills
