Job Description
This is an important multi-function role in a Business Centre reporting to the Business Centre Manager. We are seeking a highly organized and versatile Operations Coordinator to support multiple business functions, including purchasing, logistics, inside sales, and warehouse operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage competing priorities, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Purchasing & Vendor Management
Assist in sourcing, purchasing, and order placement of materials and equipmentCoordinate with suppliers on pricing, availability, and delivery timelinesTrack purchase orders and ensure timely receipt of goodsManages the inventory write-downs with manager assistance to minimize their financial impact on the Business Centre;Analyses and quickly corrects inventory discrepancies;Working with the Business Centre Manager and salespeople, evaluates new products and product lines, and recommends them;Maintains the integrity of special SKU costs in the system;Keeps supplier data (special costing, lead-time, etc.) up-to-date;Creates new stock SKU’s when needed;Logistics & Inventory Coordination
Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipmentsWork with freight carriers and logistics partners to ensure cost-effective deliveryMonitor inventory levels and assist in stock replenishment planningOrganize and coordinate shipment paperwork for international shipments with broker for timely clearance.Book pick ups for local and cross border shipments.Obtain quotes and arrange shipments with freight forwardersMonitor shipments until final deliveryReview freight invoicesResolve claims for damaged shipmentsInside Sales Support
Respond to customer inquiries and provide product/service informationPrepare quotes, process sales orders, and follow up with customersSupport the sales team with administrative and coordination tasksWarehouse Support
Assist with receiving, organizing, and tracking inventoryEnsure accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing materialsSupport periodic inventory counts and reconciliationQualifications
3+ years of experience in operations, logistics, purchasing, or inside salesStrong organizational and multitasking skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); ERP experience is an assetExcellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred Skills
Experience in supply chain or distribution environmentFamiliarity with inventory management systemsCustomer service or inside sales experienceKey Competencies
