Description:
IT Client Engagement and Solutions is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to lead a review of the IT request for proposal (RFP) process and recommend practical improvements that will streamline delivery, strengthen compliance, and improve client experience. This engagement will focus on identifying bottlenecks, clarifying roles and responsibilities, reducing cycle time, and supporting implementation of a more efficient and sustainable approach for technology procurements.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the current end-to-end IT component of the RFP process.
- Identify process inefficiencies, pain points, duplicated effort, governance gaps, and risks related to timelines, compliance, and service delivery.
- Facilitate discussions and workshops with IT, Supply, and subject matter experts to validate findings and define improvement opportunities.
- Document the current-state process and develop a future-state process with clear roles, decision points, and service expectations.
- Recommend practical improvements to templates, workflows, governance, and ways of working to reduce cycle time and improve consistency.
- Support implementation, or trial of approved process changes and incorporate feedback from Interested Parties.
- Current-state assessment of the IT RFP process, including key issues, risks, and constraints.
- Future-state process design with recommendations for streamlined workflows and governance improvements.
- Supporting process documentation, templates, and change recommendations.
- 10+ years’ experience leading business process review, business process re-engineering, or process improvement initiatives in complex organizations.
- 5+ years’ Experience with public sector, regulated, or policy-driven procurement environments.
- 5+ years of experience in IT procurement, RFP development, and interested Parties engagement.
- Ability to analyze current processes, synthesize findings, and translate them into practical and implementable recommendations.
- Excellent facilitation, interviewing, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including IT, procurement, and operational interested parties.
This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.
