Job Summary

This position reports to the Manager, Product Management and supports Direct Energy’s product development and delivery efforts across core, cross‑serve, and digital acquisition and retention initiatives in the Alberta residential market. Core initiatives include our primary energy offerings, while cross‑serve encompasses adjacent and complementary services that enhance the overall customer experience. This role also supports digital initiatives aimed at attracting new customers and improving retention through optimized journeys and performance tracking.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong analytical mindset and a desire to grow in product management. You’ll apply data‑driven thinking to help shape product direction, optimize customer journeys, and inform decisions that improve both customer experience and business outcomes.

The Associate Product Manager will work closely with product leads to help translate strategy into action by managing day‑to‑day execution details, coordinating cross‑functional inputs, surfacing insights, and tracking progress across multiple products and work streams. With a strong foundation in analytics and a passion for organization and detail, this individual will play a key role in bringing customer‑focused products to market, keeping teams aligned, and driving informed decision‑making.

Acting as a highly adaptable and hands‑on contributor—part analyst, part planner, part facilitator—the APM will support the full product lifecycle. From shaping new product ideas to supporting go‑to‑market activities and conducting post‑launch analysis, this role is well‑suited for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment and is eager to grow their product management skill set while delivering meaningful impact for customers and the business.

This is an ideal role for a motivated self‑starter looking to build their product management career while gaining exposure to a broad portfolio of work in a dynamic, customer‑centric product environment.
