Position: Subcontract Administrator

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Schedule: Monday to Friday (100% Onsite) – 4-month initial contract

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Subcontract Administrator with strong expertise in Request for Proposal (RFP) evaluations, specializing in commercial and contractual assessments. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in the Oil & Gas industry, with preferred experience supporting pipeline projects in Alberta or British Columbia. This role requires the ability to analyze complex proposals, identify commercial risks, and contribute to effective contract strategies that drive project success.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the evaluation of RFPs, ensuring compliance with project requirements and company standards.
  • Perform commercial evaluations of bids, including cost analysis, risk assessment, and contractual terms.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to align commercial and technical evaluations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for award decisions.
  • Support contract negotiations and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Maintain solid relationships with vendors and stakeholders throughout the procurement process.
Requirements
  • Over 10 years of professional experience in the Oil & Gas or Mining industry, preferably supporting projects in Alberta or British Columbia.
  • Demonstrated experience with major pipeline construction projects and EPC contracts.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience conducting RFP evaluations, with a strong emphasis on commercial assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement and contracting processes for large‑scale construction projects.
  • Solid understanding of Canadian regulatory requirements applicable to pipeline projects.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field.
