The Opportunity

Job classification: P2043 – Project Coordinator

Salary range: $60,000-$77,000. Placement within the range is typically based upon a review of skills, experience, and internal equity.

Hours per week: 37.5

Paid leave: 4 Weeks Vacation / 14 Flex Days per year

Reporting to the Associate Vice President, International Centre, the International Relations and Partnerships Lead provides strategic coordination, relationship management, and operational support to advance SAIT’s internationalization priorities. The Lead executes strategic directions established by senior leadership and plays a key role in strengthening SAIT’s global engagement and partnership ecosystem.

This role serves as a central resource for developing, coordinating, and formalizing international agreements and institutional partnerships. Using a holistic and relationship‑driven approach, the Lead works closely with internal and external stakeholders to expand global collaboration opportunities and enhance SAIT’s international presence.

How You'll Contribute International Collaboration
  • Steward international collaborations by coordinating activities related to the development, approval, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring of international partnerships, which may include memorandums of understanding, pathway‑, articulation‑, exchange‑, trans‑national‑, student and faculty mobility agreements.
  • Support the creation of international partnership and relationship strategies, identifying partners aligned with program and institutional goals.
  • Coordinate and support international visiting delegations and international partnership missions.
  • Evaluate existing partnerships and recommend termination when agreements are inactive or not meeting expected outcomes.
  • Maintain long‑term international partnerships, including managing renewals and ensuring agreement continuity.
  • Collaborate with other SAIT departments on matters related to external block transfer between international institutions and SAIT programs.
  • Partner with the Office of the Registrar to design an international block transfer assessment framework.
  • Identify and engage with opportunities for new international agreements.
  • Work with academic schools and the Office of the Registrar to develop a best‑in‑class transfer and international pathway system.
  • Maintain relationships with international post‑secondary institutions and relevant agencies.
  • Partner with Enrollment Management and other SAIT departments to develop and maintain international transfer services, events, and resources.
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop strategies that enhance global engagement and international partnership development.
  • Stay current on local and global transfer trends to ensure SAIT maintains high‑quality service.
  • Develop a partnership selection rubric to pre‑screen and evaluate prospective international partners.
International Enrollment Growth
  • Coordinate international institutional partnerships to support and increase international enrollments.
  • Strategically align partnership agreements with institutional goals for international enrollment growth.
  • Collaborate with the internal stakeholders and serve as a liaison with international partner institutions to establish, maintain, and strengthen educational agreements.
  • Build strong cross‑campus relationships to support international block transfer, Prior Learning Recognition (PLAR), and pathway development.
  • Contribute to the success of all international partnership projects at SAIT, including block transfer initiatives.
  • Collaborate on the creation and maintenance of international policies that enhance accessibility and ensure a seamless student experience.
  • Prepare briefings and reports on international transfer student enrollment and retention to inform leadership and key stakeholders.
Operational Excellence
  • Maintain an active and up‑to‑date inventory of international partnerships and agreements.
