Our large Oil & Gas industry client is seeking a Junior Planning Analyst to support the network and asset management planning team through data-driven analysis and economic modelling
.

This is an initial 1-year contract with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will follow a full-time onsite working model in Downtown Calgary.

Must-Haves:

3+ years' experience in a Planning, Project Planning, or Economic Analysis role
, ideally within retail/downstream

Advanced Excel experience; experience with Power BI

Ability to synthesize data into clear insights and recommendations

Strong analytical and economic modelling skills

Excellent communication skills, ability to distill complex information into simple, key messages

Strong stakeholder management skills and non-authoritative management skills

2-3 years corporate experience - with the ability to utilize Microsoft Suite

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience with in the Oil and Gas industry, preferably downstream

Experience with in network planning or asset management teams

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze site performance and market trends to evaluate the long-term profitability of proposed network investments, providing recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Conduct economic evaluations (NPV, IRR, Payback) to evaluate capital and sustaining projects.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Evaluate the retail/downstream network through data-driven analysis and economic modelling.
