Procurement Assistant

Support procurement operations as a Procurement Assistant at Finning Canada. Collaborate closely with the Procurement and Supplier Management department while managing inventory and procurement functions.
This is a full-time, temporary position set for approximately two years, focused on providing essential administrative support to the Director of Procurement.
Your role will involve end-to-end procurement processes, inventory management, and assisting strategic buying to ensure efficient operations. Maintain accurate records and contribute to cost-saving initiatives through effective management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support PO and invoice cleanup and data reconciliation
• Procure goods and services, meet customer demand
• Monitor stock and maintain parts tracking systems
• Collaborate with Inventory Planner on inventory tasks
• Assist with returns and non-Cat inventory cleanup
Requirements:
• 1–2 years experience in purchasing or production
• Proficient with Ariba, Sage, or equivalent ERP systems
• Strong MS Office skills and attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Strong work ethic in procurement activities
