This role, lasting 24 months, emphasizes teamwork and community interaction across Alberta's Indigenous landscape. You'll be responsible for co-creating the Centre's Indigenous Parallel Path and engaging with Elders and Knowledge Keepers to strengthen ties with Indigenous communities in the family justice system.
Your role will also integrate Indigenous Ways of Knowing into the Centre's strategies and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Co-create the Indigenous Parallel Path with Elders' guidance
• Design engagement strategies aligned with the Centre's goals
• Act as a liaison for inclusive relationships with Indigenous communities
• Host Circles to foster collaboration
• Prepare reports and presentations for various audiences
Requirements:
• Minimum six years advancing truth and reconciliation strategies
• Lived experience as an Indigenous person or deep community familiarity
• Bachelor's degree required;
Master's or law degree preferred
• Experience in partnership development on various levels
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and web conferencing tools
Contribute significantly to transformative change within the Alberta family justice system.
