Business Intelligence Analyst

Business Intelligence Analyst – Calgary, Alberta
Drive strategic energy market analysis and deliver critical business intelligence to support North American commercial growth while evaluating global macro risks and uncovering opportunities for overseas development.

Responsibilities

Collect and analyze macro risk of key countries using established templates, archiving and sharing documents.

Conduct regular analysis of the energy market and oil & gas industry, covering market trends, industry dynamics, peer strategies, key events, transactions, policy changes, and benchmarking of IOCs and NOCs. Deliver analysis outcomes and insights.

Compile strategic research reports on market and industry analysis, form independent viewpoints, assess development trends, and analyze challenges and opportunities for overseas business development.

Attend external industry conferences, webinars, and thematic exchanges to collect industry information and market dynamics; consolidate and share insights in special reports, briefings, or emails.

Participate in commercial work related to specific new projects as appropriate.

Perform other BI-related work as assigned by the Business Development Center.

Qualifications

Undergraduate or post‑graduate degree in Law, Business Studies, Economics, Engineering, Geosciences, or related field.

At least 8 years of relevant work experience.

Experience in research and report writing with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Proficient in oral and written communication.
