This key role within the Mineral Land department involves working closely with asset teams to spearhead negotiations. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal abilities and be equipped to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining an eye for detail and strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute effective negotiations for mineral rights agreements
• Compile strategic partner and competitor insights
• Lead reviews for asset acquisitions and dispositions
• Provide valuable business insights to technical teams
• Undertake projects outside the negotiation scope
Requirements:
• 5–15 years of experience in land negotiations
• Expertise in mapping and relevant systems
• Familiar with lease administration and CAPL agreements
• Registration with CALEP mandated
• Post-secondary degree within a relevant field
