We are excited to share that our company is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Estimator/Team Lead to join our team. We are in search of a motivated, organized, hard-working individual with excellent customer service skills to join and grow the team.
What You’ll DoLead and support the estimating team, providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight on estimating activities.
Prepare and review accurate quantity take-offs, budgets, and pricing from drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Provide technical support and guidance on construction methods, scope, pricing, and constructability.
Reviewjob costs throughout the build, identifying variances, cost risks, and opportunities to protect project margins.
Maintain and update
Global Options pricing and itemsto ensure accurate and consistent pricing.
Work closely with the Sales Teamto support customer options, upgrades, andcustom pricing requests.
Research, evaluate, and negotiate pricing with trades and suppliers.
Review and reconcile invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and approved scopes.
Collaborate closely with Construction, Selections, Drafting, Sales, Purchasing, and trade partners to ensure project scope, pricing, and budgets are aligned.
Act as an escalation pointfor pricing, scope, costing, and estimating issues, working with the appropriate teams to resolve them.
Identify opportunities forcost savings, process improvements, and greater estimating accuracy.
What You Bring5+ years of experience in residential construction estimating or a related construction role.
Previous experience in asenior, lead, or supervisory capacity is preferred.
Strong understanding of residential construction practices, materials, and trade scopes.
Confident decision-maker and problem solverwho can take ownership and make decisions under pressure.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external trade partners.
Comfortable leading others, providing direction, and holding team members accountable.
Highly organized with strong time-management skillsand the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented and proactive, with a strong commitment to accuracy and follow-through.
Proficient in Excel, Word, Adobe, and Outlook.
Experience with Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, Timberline, or Constellation NX or Newstaris an asset.
Civil Engineering Technologist or Architectural Technologist background is an asset.
