Position: Active Start Casual Support Educator
Become a Casual Support Educator with Active Start Childcare in Calgary, providing vital educational support to children in a nurturing environment. Deliver personalized engagement through innovative programming tailored to individual needs.

Active Start Childcare is hiring an FSCD Support Educator for a term position ending September 2027, with opportunities for extension. This role includes the potential to work additional hours as a Casual Support Educator based on center needs. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong understanding of child development and exceptional skills in communication and engagement to foster long-lasting relationships with children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one support to a designated child

• Generate engaging programming based on individual interests

• Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness

• Support child participation in integrated activities

• Supervise the child and promote their well-being

Requirements:

• Alberta Child Care certification level 1 required

• Previous Educator or Teacher experience preferred

• Familiarity with children with disabilities is a plus

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Understanding of educational tools and technologies
