Position: On-Site Host for Alberta at Noon
Be the energetic Host for CBC Calgary’s Alberta at Noon, where current affairs and storytelling converge. This on-site role focuses on engaging listeners and enhancing community connections through live programming.

As a long-term contract Host, you'll be at the forefront of Alberta’s conversations, conducting interviews and sharing diverse stories.

Your role is integral to creating a dynamic atmosphere that welcomes all listeners while promoting community relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Craft and pitch innovative stories resonating with audiences

• Host live broadcasts from 12:00-1:00 pm on weekdays

• Spontaneously engage with program participants and listeners

• Work on visual content strategies with the CBC Calgary team

• Organize public forums to promote journalistic initiatives

Requirements:

• At least five years of relevant journalism experience

• Strong journalistic and critical thinking skills

• Excellent on-air communication abilities

• Valid driver’s license meeting CBC insurance standards

• Interest in community engagement and diverse storytelling
