In this parental leave term role, you'll report to the Newsroom Managing Editor while producing local news content. Responsibilities include interviewing sources, developing story ideas, and ensuring quality segments are aired. Collaborate with our skilled newsroom team to create resonant reports for our audience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct interviews and report local news for broadcasts
• Create and script engaging news content
• Shoot and edit video for on-air reporting
• Anchor news segments as needed
• Work alongside newsroom and production team members
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in relevant fields
• Strong editorial and writing skills
• Familiarity with ENG equipment and video editing
• Smooth delivery of live broadcasts
• Valid driver’s license essential
