This role demands an energetic journalist who can provide on-the-ground coverage of the Alberta Legislature, local politics, and climate policy. You will report on events and issues affecting everyday Albertans, providing timely insights and engaging narratives. Ideal candidates will combine a passion for journalism with a strong understanding of climate and political dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver 2-3 impactful stories weekly on politics and climate
• Capture community voices and reactions in your reporting
• Conduct thorough research and write compelling articles
• Establish a network of contacts for accurate reporting
• Utilize innovative formats for online storytelling
Requirements:
• At least three years of relevant reporting experience
• Exceptional English-language writing skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in Freedom of Information requests
• Developed multimedia skills are advantageous
