Lighting Designer

Position: Lighting Designer Role at National Music Centre
Become a vital part of the National Music Centre as a Lighting Designer and contribute to the visual ambiance of our events. This part-time position allows for creative expression within a skilled team.

As a Lighting Designer, you'll report to the Production Manager and be instrumental in delivering exceptional lighting for various events at Studio Bell. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage dynamic lighting setups while maintaining high standards of service for visitors and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate to meet lighting design needs for events

• Set up and operate lighting systems effectively

• Work with teams to prepare and execute events

• Maintain security and safety of Studio Bell’s equipment

• Coach staff and volunteers in technical skills

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years in theater or live lighting

• Experience with cue-based lighting productions

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends

• Capable of lifting equipment weighing up to 30 kilos
