Overview
We’re partnering with a fast-growing D2C startup in Calgary that’s building a high-performance, video-first content engine and we’re looking for a highly creative, performance-minded Content Creator to help lead that evolution.
This is not a traditional social media role. We’re looking for someone who understands how content drives growth: someone who knows how to create short-form videos that hook attention instantly, feel native to Tik Tok and Reels, and ultimately drive engagement, clicks, and conversion. You’ll play a key role in helping the brand evolve from primarily static paid ads into a scalable, high-volume content machine as the company expands into new markets across North America.
What You’ll Be Doing- Create high-volume short-form video content for Tik Tok, Instagram and Meta reels, You Tube Shorts
- Develop paid social creative designed to drive performance and conversion
- Generate hooks, concepts, scripts, and creative variations at scale
- Create content that feels organic, platform-native, and trend-aware
- Collaborate closely with growth and marketing teams to test and optimize creative performance
- Help build scalable content production systems and workflows
- Coordinate creators, talent, or contributors for content shoots when needed
- Experiment with AI-assisted creative tools and emerging content formats
- Stay on top of trends, platform shifts, and winning ad creative styles
- 3–5 years of experience creating high-performing short-form content
- Deep understanding of Tik Tok, Reels, and platform-native storytelling
- Strong instincts for hooks, pacing, storytelling, and conversion-focused creative
- Experience developing content for paid social campaigns
- Ability to move quickly and produce content at scale
- Strong understanding of what makes content convert — not just look polished
- Comfortable both creating content yourself and collaborating with creators or contributors
- Self-starter mentality with strong ownership and initiative
- UGC creator management
- AI video/content tools (Hey Gen, AI-assisted video workflows, etc.)
- Cap Cut, Final Cut, Premiere Pro, or similar editing tools
- On-camera comfort or willingness to occasionally appear in content
- Experience building or scaling content systems/processes
