Position: Digital Content Specialist UToday Team
Join the University of Calgary as a Digital Content Specialist on the UToday news team, focusing on innovative content creation and publishing. This full-time role includes work on newsletters and various media platforms.
As part of the External Relations Communication Services team, you will produce compelling visual and written content to keep the campus informed. Your key tasks will include managing digital assets, building newsletters, and working collaboratively with media relations and social media teams. A proactive and strategic thinker, you will directly contribute to enhancing the university’s communication efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage news articles using photography and writing

• Build and distribute newsletters, ensuring design consistency

• Develop and maintain event listings and thematic microsites

• Collaborate with various teams for seamless communication

• Support SEO strategies and manage inbox communications
Requirements:

• Degree in marketing, communications, or related fields

• 2-5 years experience with web tools and publishing

• Knowledge of content management systems

• Experience with Adobe design software

• Strong writing and client service skills
