Join the dynamic faculty at Ambrose University as a Sessional Instructor for small jazz ensembles. Guide students in developing their musicianship and exploring a variety of jazz literature and styles in a collaborative environment.

This position presents an exciting opportunity for qualified music instructors at Ambrose University. You will lead a small jazz ensemble while preparing students for performances and conducting weekly practices. Also, your role includes assessing and grading student performance to enhance their educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct students in preparation for Ambrose Arts performances

• Lead weekly practices to foster ensemble skills

• Assess student progress and assign evaluations

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Music or equivalent experience

• History of post-secondary music teaching success

• Demonstrated live performance skills

• Collaborative mindset with faculty

• Must reside in Calgary, AB area
