Multiplatform Video Journalist at CBC

We're looking for a permanent Video Journalist with a minimum of 5 years of experience in digital journalism. You'll research, gather, package, and present stories for social media, streaming, online, TV, and radio. This role demands exceptional shooting, editing, and interviewing skills, along with a deep understanding of Calgary's diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and produce compelling stories for various platforms

• Operate broadcast cameras and edit using Avid systems

• Conduct interviews and develop original story ideas

• Work flexible hours, including weekends and shifts

• Reflect Calgary’s diverse communities in your storytelling

Requirements:

• 5+ years of video journalism experience

• 2+ years using Avid for editing

• Proficiency with broadcast cameras and remote transmission

• Comfort with social media and streaming standards

• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
