- 3 weeks + 1 week during Christmas (4 weeks total)

- Direct all day-to-day accounting and financial activities for four companies.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and consolidated financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate job costing, WIP reporting, and margin analysis across projects.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with ASPE/GAAP.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls and policies to protect company assets.
- Collaborate with external auditors and advisors (e.g., KPMG) and communicate complex financial insights to leadership.
- Lead financing efforts for large-scale projects (up to $40M+).
- Cultivate strong relationships with banks, investors, and bonding partners.
- Develop and present financial packages for lenders and investors.
- Oversee construction draws, financing arrangements, and investor reporting for new developments.
- Partner with executives to drive business planning, growth strategies, and risk management.
- Advise on corporate structuring for tax efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- Manage intercompany transactions and financial consolidation across divisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability and implement scalable financial systems.
- Lead and mentor accounting and finance teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate team capacity and recommend staffing adjustments as needed.
- Provide coaching and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor costs, budgets, and profitability.
- Deliver financial insights and scenario analyses for new projects and land acquisitions.
- Forecast funding needs and advise leadership on capital deployment timing.
- Maintain financial stability through proactive cash flow and risk management.
- Proven experience managing finances for organizations with $50M-$100M+ in revenue.
- 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role (Controller, Director of Finance, or CFO).
- CPA designation preferred (or equivalent senior-level experience).
- Strong background in construction, development, or real estate.
- Demonstrated success in funding, banking, and financial structuring.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to balance hands-on financial oversight with strategic leadership.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, multicultural, family-style environment.
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
