Reporting directly to the Controller, you will assist with year‑end financial statements, board reporting, and strategic initiatives, while maintaining key financial processes and supporting data‑driven decision‑making across the business.

- Prepare monthly financial reporting and variance analysis, ensuring completeness and accuracy of working papers.
- Participate in year‑end processes by assisting in the preparation of financial statement working papers, reconciliations and supporting documentation for Controller and external advisors.
- Manage job costing and coordinate project‑related loan and mortgage draws for development and housing projects.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate funding for operational and project requirements.
- Review and ensure accuracy of key financial processes, including bank reconciliations, GST filings, and cheque runs.
- Maintain accurate construction and project status reporting to support cash forecasting and adherence to timelines.
- Assist with budgeting activities, including annual overhead budget preparation and ongoing variance tracking.
- Partner with the Controller on financing requests, board reporting materials, and special projects to support strategic initiatives.
- Professional accounting designation.
- Minimum of 5 years of finance and accounting experience.
- 3‑5 years of experience in real estate, home building and/or a land development organization is an asset.
- Comprehensive understanding of ERP accounting software systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Dynamics SL, Build Topia and Sage 50.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
