Join Fortis Alberta as an Audit Advisor in Calgary, where you will conduct internal audits and assess financial reporting controls. This hybrid role focuses on internal audit efficiency and risk management.

As part of the Legal/Audit department, the Audit Advisor reports to the Director of Internal Audit and will manage risk-based audits, ensuring adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. The role demands proficiency in internal auditing practices, effective communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset to build relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and report on internal audit projects

• Develop audit programs and testing procedures

• Document processes through flowcharts and narratives

• Evaluate control design and effectiveness

• Provide advisory services to management

Requirements:

• Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or similar

• Minimum 5 years of SOX compliance experience

• CPA or CIA designation is an asset

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Familiarity with SAP and data analytic software
