Internal Audit Advisor

Position: Full-Time Internal Audit Advisor Role
Become a key player in compliance and governance at Fortis Alberta as a Full-Time Audit Advisor. This role includes hybrid work options and focuses on internal audit excellence.

The Audit Advisor position is ideal for a skilled internal auditor in Calgary, transitioning to Airdrie in 2027. You will ensure successful execution of audits, document controls, and engage with management for advisory services. This position demands exceptional analytical skills, effective communication, and a customer service focus to develop strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and report on Internal Audit/ICFR projects

• Develop appropriate sampling approaches for audits

• Conduct process evaluations to identify key risks

• Document controls through flowcharts and narratives

• Advise management on internal control improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

• At least 5 years of internal audit experience

• Familiarity with SOX compliance, Arbutus software a plus

• Excellent organizational skills with MS Office proficiency

• Willingness to travel occasionally for work
