Position: Risk Analyst for Oil
Enhance your expertise in market risk management as a Risk Analyst for Oil located in Calgary. You'll focus on improving PnL accuracy and reporting while navigating the complexities of trading.

In this role, you will take ownership of core PnL data maintenance and ensure compliance with risk management principles. Your analytical skills will be employed to justify trading strategies, analyze market exposure, and produce daily insights for stakeholders. Collaboration with various departments is integral to successfully executing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Justify trading strategies’ economics in the oil sector

• Produce daily market commentary for decision-making

• Analyze and report profit and loss in trading

• Monitor new business data entry in systems

• Ensure accurate market risk capture and execution

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or similar

• Minimum 1 year in energy market risk management

• Experience with physical and derivatives energy markets

• Strong knowledge of trading models and strategies

• Ownership in data integrity and process improvements
