Reporting to the Director Taxation, this managerial role demands a strong background in corporate tax returns and compliance for Wawanesa and its subsidiaries. You will monitor industry standards, manage tax provisions, and oversee audits. The position requires collaboration with numerous teams, ensuring all financial reporting needs are met while fostering a positive environment for your team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor current IFRS developments and recommend compliance revisions
• Prepare tax due diligence for mergers and acquisitions
• Manage quarterly consolidated tax provisions and external reporting
• Collaborate with financial reporting teams for compliance
• Prepare and review corporate income tax returns
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA designation and/or Masters in Tax preferred
• 10 years of industry or public practice experience
• 8 years in direct tax roles and 5 years in managerial positions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
Lead tax compliance and reporting initiatives while mentoring your team at Wawanesa.
