Position: Gas Trading Leadership Role
Join Capital Power as Head Trader for gas markets, overseeing AECO and Henry Hub exposures. This leadership position focuses on risk-adjusted returns through effective trading strategies and team management.

In this senior trading role, you will inspire a team of traders and analysts to enhance portfolio profitability while maintaining strict risk management protocols. Your responsibilities include managing substantial gas positions, crafting and implementing speculative trading strategies, and refining analytics to inform decision-making. A solid grasp of gas fundamentals in North American markets is key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct team towards unified profitability goals

• Own positioning for large AECO gas portfolio

• Develop and execute risk-defined trading strategies

• Manage portfolio’s Henry Hub needs across regions

• Analyze and improve global gas fundamentals insights

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, or related field

• At least 8 years of trading experience in gas or power

• Knowledge of swaps, options, and storage assets

• Skilled in Python, SQL, or R for dataset management

• Must be eligible to work in Canada
