Responsibilities
  • Participate in completing accounting processes for items such as month end close, reporting and analysis.
  • Contribute to refining and improving accounting processes and documentation across different functional areas in Finance.
  • Conduct background research on finance related topics such as policies and best practices.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, financial reports and other documentation such as training manuals and reference guides.
  • Contribute to the completion and execution of special projects.
Qualifications
  • A High School diploma or equivalency (GED) and 3 – 6 courses recognized by Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
  • Preference will be given to candidate with 2 years of post‑secondary education with a major in Business, Accounting or a related field.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience with People Soft Financials or an equivalent financial application would be considered an asset.
  • Previous experience and/or working knowledge of People Soft Financial and Supply Chain Management (FSCM), SAP Business Objects and Power BI would be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate policies, a high attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
