The Opportunity
Tidewater has an immediate opening for a Treasury Analyst. This is a full-time position based out of our Calgary head office and reporting to the Manager, Corporate and Accounts Payable. This is a fast paced, deadline driven role that requires superb organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
The Treasury Analyst supports treasury operations, cash application, and vendor master administration. This role ensures banking transactions are processed accurately and on time, vendor records are properly maintained, and internal controls and company policies are consistently followed.
Key ResponsibilitiesTreasury Operations
- Set up wires and intercompany transfers in the banking platform
- Investigate and resolve payment exceptions, bank rejections, and processing errors
- Prepare and distribute daily bank reconciliation reports
- Support month-end and year-end treasury activities
- Process and apply customer payments accurately and on time
- Review remittance advice and investigate unapplied cash
- Work with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve payment discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of customer payment activity
- Review and process vendor setup and change requests
- Validate supporting documentation and banking information
- Maintain vendors master data in line with company policies and internal controls
- Perform verification procedures for banking changes and vendor updates
- Work with Accounts Payable to keep vendor records accurate and current
- Support vendor compliance with documentation and audit requests
- Ensure compliance with treasury policies, banking requirements, and internal controls
- Support audits by providing required documentation
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend efficiencies
- Help develop and document treasury and vendor management procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in treasury, accounts receivable, or accounting
- Knowledge of electronic payments, banking platforms, and cash management processes
- Experience with vendor master data, banking detail validation, and supporting documentation
- Understanding internal controls, compliance requirements, and audit support
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
