Position: Associate Mortgage Underwriter Role

You’ll report to the Manager, Third Party Residential Underwriting and play an essential role in reviewing mortgage documents. Your focus will be to support credit decisions by ensuring accuracy and compliance with both internal and external guidelines. This role allows you to work closely with industry professionals while enhancing your skills in a respected company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interact with mortgage brokers for documentation

• Review accuracy of financial documents

• Escalate risks or inaccuracies to senior underwriters

• Keep detailed notes within the underwriting system

• Follow AML compliance protocols

Requirements:

• Completed post-secondary education or equivalent

• Experience in the Financial Services sector preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Organizational skills in fast-paced settings

• Basic PC software proficiency
